Synopsis
In the cold winter of 1943, two young Jews, Alek and Fryda, desperately flee the atrocities in the Warsaw ghetto. Through a labyrinth of underground tunnels, they seek safety and freedom. With unpublished photographs documenting what they have witnessed, Alek finds refuge in an apartment only to discover it occupied by Germans. With her wits, she is adopted by Stephania, a brave Polish woman who protects them and manages to rescue Fryda from a safe danger. However, his new refuge is threatened by Fryda's ungrateful attitude and subtle attempts to put his delicate security at risk.
