The Emigrants

1850, Kristina Nilsson, along with her husband and children, leaves a poor Sweden and embarks on a dangerous journey to the United States in search of a better life. This adventure, inspired by Vilhelm Moberg's novel series, tells us about his challenging voyages through the Atlantic Ocean and the difficulties they face as they arrive in New York. Along the way, Kristina and her family face various obstacles, ranging from deceptive locals to the challenges of raising children on a war front. Finally, they must adapt and overcome these tests to forge a new life in Minnesota, opening the way to future opportunities.
