Synopsis
In 1928, Martha Ivers and her friend Sam Masterson planned to escape together, but fate had other plans. After many years, Sam returns to the city of Iverstown, where he finds Martha exercising power as a successful businesswoman and married to Walter O'Neil, the district attorney. While Sam engages in a network of conflicting lies and interests, he is also caught by Toni Marachek, a mysterious new arrival. Amidst intrigue and political maneuvers, Martha, Walter and Sam must face their shared past and the secrets that have held them together for so long.
