Three Godless Years

Under Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II, a brave schoolteacher named Rosario faces unprecedented challenges. Promised to Crispin, an anti-Japanese fighter, her life changes dramatically when she is brutally raped by Masugi, a cruel officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Now pregnant with her son and plunged in a storm of emotions, Rosario seeks revenge against her aggressor. However, the lines between love and hatred become more difficult to draw, and the community disapprove of their actions. The film explores in depth the feelings and desires of Filipinos during such a complicated period in their history.
