Semum

Canan and her husband are excited to move into their new home, but their happiness doesn't last long. They begin to experience strange situations that torment them. Paintings move, Canan's cat shows unusual behaviors and his neighbors seem increasingly suspicious. Unknowingly, in his home he shares space with an evil demon heading toward the soul of Canaan. "Semum" explores Islamic beliefs about entities that walked the earth before Adam and Eve, created from incandescent smoke and poison. These creatures are jealous of humanity and spend their time hurting, possessing and destroying people.
