How the West Was Won

In the 1865s, the Macahan family left Virginia for Oregon. Meanwhile, her mother Kate and her children Laura, Jessie and Josh wait on a farm built for the patriarch and elder son Luke. After deserting the army, Luke brings the devastating news that his father is dead. A military officer arrives at the farm to stop Luke, but Uncle Zeb, an expert in the field, intervenes and saves the situation! However, Luke must hide in a Simonite community. Meanwhile, Zeb is heading for the mountains in search of an old friend fighting Native Americans. With the tension growing and the indigenous conflict increasingly approaching the Macahan estate, how can the family cope with this dangerous situation?
