Synopsis
Cristiada tells the story of the Cristera War, a conflict that struck Mexico between 1926 and 1929. After attempts by the Mexican government to secularize the country, a rebellion led by the Catholic Church breaks loose. Former General Gorostieta, witness to the violence, decides to join the revolutionary forces and turn a group of inexperienced rebels into a brave army determined to defend their religious beliefs. With an authentic setting and a script in English, Cristiada is an epic drama that shows the struggle for justice and faith in a context of civil violence.
