Synopsis
Ethel and Ernest is an animation that tells the real story of a London marriage that lives through the 20th century. The film is inspired by the graphic book by Raymond Briggs, son of this ordinary couple facing extraordinary challenges. The story unfolds against the background of a broad social change and shows us how love and resistance held this pair together for decades. As we move forward in the life of this London middle class, we know Ernest, a milk delivery man, and Ethel, who after marriage would work exclusively at home. His son Raymond, the only fruit of this passionate love, tells the story from his perspective, highlighting the ordinary but extraordinary life of his parents.
