Czech Dream

A satirical documentary that narrates the adventure of two young film students in the Czech Republic. After the fall of communism, consumption and advertising invade society. To show how easily they can fool the public, they decide to create a fictional supermarket called "Czech Dream" and launch an impressive advertising campaign, including radio and television ads, posters, brochures, a promotional song, a website and advertisements in newspapers and magazines. With the support of a prestigious advertising agency, they manage to create a sense of reality around this imaginary supermarket. The film explores how Czech society has transformed into a consumer market, where advertisements and promotions are able to convince people of things that do not exist.
