Cabascabo

Cabascabo is a film that tells the story of a hero returning to his homeland from Niger after fighting as a French colonial soldier in Indochina. At first, he is greeted with great admiration and respect by his friends and family, who listen enthusiastically to the stories of his adventures and battles in distant lands "beyond Mecca". However, the brilliant past of the protagonist is quickly darkened when he begins to waste his fortune and face difficulties in finding work. Despite his military rank, Cabascabo is treated with contempt by his colleagues at the construction sites, where he is forced to perform slave labor. To maintain their dignity and self-esteem, the main character must return to the roots of their culture and work the land in rural society.
