Synopsis
In an exotic and politically charged environment, Anna Leonowens, a British governess, is hired by the king of Siam to educate her fifty-eight children. As she enters this unknown world, Anna must face the complexities of court life and form an unexpected relationship with the sovereign. Amid political intrigues and British ambition to establish an alliance, Anna is involved in a war conflict against Burma. Amidst these challenges, a delicate romance blossoms between Anna and King Mongkut, transforming their relationship and putting their personal and professional goals at risk.
